Steel City Hobbies and R/C DCL Indoor Track
Driving Directions
From: Pittsburgh and Washington DC
2 ways from Pittsburgh PA:
• The fastest way:
Rt. 51 South towards Uniontown, PA.
Rt. 40 South/East (ByPass) (once Rt. 51 merges into 1
lane)
Stay on Rt. 40 South/East (turns into single lane)
You will drive over the Summit after Uniontown
You will drive past Nemicoln Woodlands (on your left)
Rt. 281 South towards Markleysburg and WV.
You will drive through a tiny town (no stop lights!)
called Markleysburg.
Just on the edge of town, make a left onto Rt. 42 South/East
(sign knocked down last I have seen) There is a computer store called Vita-Link,
white building on your left. Turn here!
Stay on Rt. 42 through Friendsville (under I-68)
Rt. 42 turns into/merges with Rt. 219.
Bare right onto Rt. 219 South
You will come into the
Deep Creek Lake area. Lake and Ski slopes on your right.
You will see a BP Gas Station/Burger King on right. (about 2 miles from Rt. 42) Fairgrounds directly across
the street (left). See picture below for an idea of what the building looks

• The Easiest way:
I-79 South into the Morgantown WV area.
I-68 East (start of interstate just after Morgantown)
Take the 1st Exit in Maryland, Exit 4 (Friendsville)
Bare right onto Rt. 42 South/East
42 turns into Route 219 (bare right again onto 219 South)
You will come into the Deep Creek Lake area. Lake and
Ski slopes on your right.
You will see a BP Gas Station/Burger King on right. (about
2 miles from Rt. 42)
Fairgrounds directly across the street (left). See picture

From Washington DC:
I-68 West to Rt. 219 South
You will come into the Deep
Creek Lake area. Lake and Ski slopes on your right. You will see a BP Gas Station/Burger King on right. (about 2 miles from Rt. 42) Fairgrounds directly across
the street (left). See picture below for an idea of what the building looks
like.
